Can you be tempted to play cricket in beautiful surroundings on Cholesbury Common, high in the Chiltern Hills? Hawridge & Cholesbury Cricket Club is looking to increase its playing membership and welcomes players of all abilities. The club plays two Saturday teams: First XI in the Premier Division of the Morrant Chiltern League, and the Second XI in Reserve Division 2. A Sunday team of mixed ability plays friendly matches. It also enjoys a large and healthy colts membership, with enthusiastic youngsters from ages 9 to 16. Affiliated to the CCC and BCB, Hawridge & Cholesbury has a superb pitch, regularly used in recent regional Knock-Out finals, and excellent facilities, including a bar in the clubhouse. Teas provided have long been complimented as being among the best in the district. This long-established village club, founded in 1885, is forward looking and offers a warm and friendly welcome to newcomers. Please send an email to Club Secretary Brian Ralphs at brian.ralphs@gmail.com for further information.
